Zoran Roganović is no longer the selector of the men's handball team of Montenegro.
He emphasized this after the defeat against Slovenia (31:23) in the last match at the World Championship.
Roganović's contract with the Handball Association of Montenegro expired after the World Cup ended.
"I didn't succeed, I assured that we would qualify for the Olympic Games. And for me, the word is more important than anything else. I wish luck to the national team," Roganović told RTCG and clarified:
"I informed the team and the president of the Federation, they didn't care. I like the fact that I leave the team in a phenomenal condition and that's the most important thing. We have a very good team, Malten made it to the next EP, I'm leaving phenomenal players and people, that will help to my successor. The President of the Association, Petar Kapisoda, will certainly make the right choice and find a man who will break our records," said Roganović.
"Well, maybe one day I'll come back, when I'm better and smarter. So that I don't make the same mistakes with my preparations," Roganović concluded.
