Now everything is known - two-time consecutive champion Denmark will play outsider Hungary in the knockout stage, Germany will play Spain, Norway will play Olympic champion France, and European champion Sweden will face Egypt at home in Stockholm.
In the last match, the Danes could have lost to Egypt by 10 points, but they won easily (30:25) and avoided the neighboring derby with Sweden.
Because of this, "Pharaohs" will have to beat the current European champion, who has an extra day of rest, because he finished his duties in group 2 last night.
In the direct confrontation for the 1st place in group 3, Norway always led against Germany, which took the lead for the first time at the finish (25:24), but the "Vikings" retaliated with four tied goals and solved all dilemmas. In the end it was 28:26.
In those moments, goalkeeper Torbjern Bergerud shone, who in the 2nd half recorded as many as 12 saves and conceded 10 goals. In the finish, he did not take the ball out of the net for eight minutes.
