The handball players of Budućnost Bemaks learned from the first two rounds and against Savehof they want the first points in the Champions League this season, said Nađa Kadović, the left wing of the Podgorica team.
Buducnost Bemaks and Savehof will play a match of the third round of the Champions League on Sunday in Podgorica.
Kadović stressed that the women's handball players from Podgorica played below their level in the first two games.
"Savehof has a young, but extremely high-quality and aggressive team. We need to take advantage of that and respond to it even more aggressively. We have to be patient, concentrated for the whole 60 minutes, we have to play smart in attack and wait for the right chance," Kadović said at the press conference. .
Speaking about the start of the new season of the Champions League, she pointed out that they learned a lot from the defeat in the first two rounds.
"We know where the problem is, we had too high expectations. We are going into the match against Saveh relaxed, but with great desire. Finally, the time has come for the first two points," said Kadović.
She pointed out that self-confidence has fallen, but that she believes that they should start from scratch and give their best to improve the points balance.
Goalkeeper Armel Atingre said that Buducnost had a bad start to the season, but that she believes that the team can do much better.
"We have to play braver, more concentrated, to give our maximum at every moment. We have to play patiently and disciplined. Savehof has a young team, but extremely talented. They play aggressively, with a lot of running," said Atingre.
Sports director Katarina Bulatović believes that the results at the start of the season are not as expected, but that she firmly stands behind the handball players who have been hired.
"We believe in better editions, because results are not made overnight. I ask for patience for the girls and the coaching staff, they should not be on the pillar of shame after two defeats. We brought players that we thought were reinforcements, but it turned out that they did not come physically ready. We couldn't count on them even in the preparatory matches," said Bulatović.
She emphasized that she wants to give the girls and the coaching staff a chance.
Bulatović made official the cooperation with three Montenegrin clubs - Trebjes from Nikšić, Jedinstva from BIjelo Polje and Podgorica in 2013.
"The Bemax company provided funds for those clubs to be our base. Our wish is to popularize handball, to create conditions for them to play handball, so that one day they will be part of Budućnost and the Montenegrin national team," said Bulatović.
