The difference in the quality of Đer and Budućnost Bemaks is big and it is difficult to play against a team that is selected to attack the title, said the coach of Podgorica handball players, Bojana Popović.
Đer and Budućnost will play a match of the fourth round of the Champions League on Sunday.
Popović said that it was a pleasure and a challenge to play against Đero, no matter how big the difference in quality.
"We have a serious job ahead of us, against a team that practically has two lineups. It is important that we enter the match relieved, that the girls improve their game against great players, that they raise themselves and see how much more they have to do and what they have to do," Popović said. at the press conference.
She emphasized that such matches create female players, stating that they are matches in which a lot can be learned.
Popović, speaking about the upcoming match, said that Buducnost will play as much as its rival allows.
"It's clear, because they have a huge number of great players. They can play two matches in a row. They can kill the girls for 60 minutes, but they will make changes to tire us, to keep a high rhythm, which is difficult to follow. It's simple - they need to be brave, to relax and play, because we have nothing to lose," said Popović.
She emphasized that it is known who is the favorite.
"The girls only have to give their best at that moment," concluded Popović.
Budućnosti's rival is the five-time European champion, who achieved maximum performance in the first three rounds.
The upcoming duel will be the 28th match between the most successful Montenegrin and Hungarian clubs in European competitions.
Đer recorded 20 victories, four ended in a draw, while Budućnost celebrated in three duels.
The Montenegrin champion emerged as the winner in two of the three finals so far - in 2006, after a draw in Podgorica, the triumph in Đero brought the Cup Winners' Cup trophy, while on May 13, 2012, the Champions League trophy arrived in the capital after the then-elected Dragan Adžić made up for the minus of two goals from the first match.
Đer celebrated in the Champions League final in 2014, and was more successful in the semi-final duels at the final tournaments in Budapest in 2016 and 2017.
Five seasons ago, Đer was more successful in the Champions League quarter-final double-header and won both duels 26:20 in Podgorica and 30:28 in front of his fans.
