Montenegrin handball players played a masterful second half against Hungary, made up for a three-goal deficit, eventually won (24:18) and transferred four points to the second stage of the World Championship.
The Lionesses won a great victory, and Marta Batinović was again great in goal.
"We came to write history. I'm glad we won, we played a masterful match, especially in the 2nd half. We completely got them into our rhythm. We play every game with heart and it shows, regardless of whether it goes or not ", said Batinović.
Batinović says that this generation of "lionesses" also has the quality for long distances.
"We take four points, that's a success. Now we head calmly to the second phase, where serious teams await us. We're going step by step".
In the 1st half, Montenegro struggled in attack, and Jelena Despotović revealed what the coach, Bojana Popović, told them at halftime.
"That we have to play more players better, because that was the biggest problem, as well as to score goals. There was a lot of space, we created chances, we just had to hit it. After the first half, we knew we could do it, we believed until the end. "I think the defense did an excellent job, and that was also seen in the attack, we created chances. We can't wait for the next matches, full of confidence, good energy and positive atmosphere," said Despotović.
