Three days after Montenegrin handball players finished their extremely successful performance at the World Championship, the "lions" will gather.
Head coach Vlado Šola will make a roll call tomorrow in the hall of the "Voco" hotel at the start of the preparations for the European Championship in Germany, which starts on January 10.
The Croatian expert should have 18 of the 10 players on the roster available at the first training session (21 p.m.) - goalkeeper Filip Borozan, wings Aleksandar Bakić, Mirko Radović and Luka Radović, pivots Nemanja Grbović and Miodrag Ćorsović, and guards Bož Anđelić and Stevan Vujović. , Vasilija Kaluđerović and Vuk Borozan.
After the completion of club obligations, the remaining 11 players who are competing for a place in the squad for the European Championship will join their teammates in the national team by the end of the year.
The good thing is that this year the first part of the Bundesliga ends earlier than usual, so Nebojša Simić, Branko Vujović, Miloš Vujović and Stefan Čavor will finish all club duties this weekend. The goalkeeper of Swedish Ama, Nikola Matović, will be the last to arrive, because he is playing a game on December 29.
On that day, Montenegro will play a friendly match against North Macedonia in Stara Pazova, while participation in the tournament in Poreč is planned for January 4 and 5, where rivals Croatia and Slovenia will host.
The "lions" will play the premier match in group C in Munich on January 12 against Hungary, two days later they will face Iceland, and on January 16 Serbia. Placement in the main round will be won by the two first-placed selections.
