Year of "lions" and "lions": RSCG crowned the best in 2023.

Handball brought a lot of joy to Montenegro in 2023 as well - the weakened "lionesses" are seventh in the world, and the "lionesses" qualified for the main round of the World Championship.

At the end of the year, the Handball Association of Montenegro traditionally awarded the best, and this time they were Ivona Pavićević and Filip Krivokapić (best in Montenegro), Tatjana Brnović and Miloš Vujović (best abroad), while the best young handball players were Nina Ramusović and Ilija Rafailovic.

They received the awards from the hands of Petr Kapisoda, president of RSCG.

Ivina Pavićević, the winger of Budućnost Bemax, was one of the team's best players in the Champions League, and she also had excellent performances in the national team jersey at the World Cup.

"This is a great honor and pleasure. I believe that this award is not only a recognition for my current success, but for years of work, dedication, effort and love for handball. All this is an additional motivation to be even better and more successful," Ivona pointed out.

Miloš Vujović, a guy from Cetinje who now wears the jersey of German Gumerzbach, is the best player abroad, and with Fuhse Berlin this year he won the trophy in the EHF European League, while he was also one of the best players of the national team at the World Cup.

"I am really happy, this is my second consecutive award, and all this is an indication that I am on the right path and that I am doing great things," emphasized Vujović.

Filip Krivokapić was one of the best in the First Montenegrin League and the European League.

"I would like to thank RSCG for the award, but also my teammates and Lovcen - with good and high-quality work, we returned the title, and therefore this award came for me," says Krivokapić.

From this season, Nina Ramusović is a player of ORK Rudar, with whom she played in the European Cup, she is a member of the national team that won seventh place at the European Championship for girls under 17 in Podgorica.

"I am happy, this is a great motivation for my further work and success," said Nina.

Ilija Rafailović provided great editions in the shirt of Budva Riviera in the Cadet League of Montenegro and is the best scorer of the competition.

"After a serious injury that I got out of in January with the help of my coach Dejan Dragnić, I got back in shape and got good results," says Ilija.
