The European Championship is getting closer, the last chance to see if they are on the right track will be tomorrow and Friday in Poreč, where they will meet Croatia and Slovenia.
Since the arrival of coach Vlad Šola, the "lions" have recorded two wins and four losses, which is why they need at least excellent editions, if not victories, at the "Croatia Cup" in order to boost their confidence.
"A great tournament for us and great tests to see our current form and where we are before the start of the European Championship. We are training great, after a long time we have more than 10 days of preparation for the big competition and we used it in the right way", stressed Vuk Lazović.
In March, Montenegro lost both matches against Slovenia in the qualifiers for the EHF Euro, and in the previous championship of the Old Continent, they defeated both "the country" and Croatia. If she recorded at least one victory in Poreč, she would know that she is on the right track.
"I expect us to give our maximum and do everything that the selector imagined. It is important to be extremely combative, even though the result is not in the foreground," said the 35-year-old from Belgrade.
With the return of Nemanja Grbović, pivot Meškov Brest will be freed from most of his duties in the attack, and in the center of the defense he received a big reinforcement - Vuk Borozan.
"Vuko is a great help for all of us, he is a great player. He will mean a lot to us, I am looking forward to playing with him in positions three and four".
The most experienced Montenegrin representative leaves no dilemma when it comes to ambitions at the European Championship.
"The goal is to advance to the main stage," said Lazović.
