European story number seven for the lions starts on Friday - after twenty days of difficult preparations, Montenegrin handball players open the European Championship against Hungary.
The rivals of our national team in Munich will be Iceland and Serbia, and what can always be expected from Mirko Radović and his friends when they put on the jersey with the Montenegrin coat of arms is fanatical fighting spirit.
"Of course, first of all we want to do our best to represent Montenegro in the right way - as we have done many times before," said Radović.
In addition to combativeness, the "lions" also have handball skills that often outsmart much more powerful selections.
"On the other hand, we want to try to honor everything we agree on - the field will be the biggest benchmark. We have some things that we are hiding, and most likely our rivals are hiding something too. There will be tactical outwitting, but there will also be a fight for all 60 minutes on the field "We will do everything to come out as winners in the end," emphasized the captain of Montenegro.

Hungary is a handball nation, a country with a very strong league, on paper and a favorite against Montenegro, but Ceme Rodrigues' team will have to prove all that on the field.
"We have a lot of information about them, it's about a national team with a wide squad, top players. Now the question is what kind of day will they have, and what kind of day will we have. I think they have the role of a slight favorite, but that shouldn't mean anything on the field, because one is the situation on paper, and the other is on the field," our right wing is clear.
Iceland and Serbia?
"The most important thing is that after Hungary we stay on the ground - whatever happens in the first game, win, draw or defeat, to reset as soon as possible and turn to the next game".
The "Lions" achieved their greatest success at the last Euro when, after great victories over Croatia and Slovenia, they reached 11th place.
"It will be difficult to repeat that result, and we thought the same at the time, so we went out on the field and did something magical. So deep down we hope, but we will let the field talk again, and the coach about those goals and how long we want to get there - we players will do our best to fulfill his tactical ideas as best as we can," the handball player from Lovćen is clear.
What is important is that our captain is ready for the challenges in Germany.
"I recovered - it was a calf strain, but basically I will be ready for the championship. I worked to recover as quickly as I can and I will be ready for the championship," concluded Radović.
Borozan is world class
After six and a half years in the red jersey, Vuko Borozan - at one time one of the best defenders in the world.
"Vuko is a world-class player," said Radović. "He has done his best in training and in matches so far, and I think he will be a big plus for our national team. He is working well, he has fit in well, the team has accepted him and he has accepted us, and so far the impressions are positive".
