It's the time of the "lions" - somewhat symbolic in Munich, a city whose trademark is a lion.

The Olympic hall in the capital of Bavaria is ready - tonight (20.30:XNUMX p.m.) Montenegrin handball players will begin their seventh appearance at the championship of the Old Continent against Hungary.

Two years ago, our national team achieved the greatest success in major competitions in Hungary (11th place), now against the selection from that country they want to embark on a similar campaign - to the temple of handball "Lankses Arena" in Cologne and the main round of the Euro.

A tough match at the start, but so will everyone in group C.

- I played in Hungary for two years, as well as with most of their players. It is about a serious national team, and since I was there, I know very well how seriously the national team is approached there - he said Vuko Borozan, a returnee to our national team.

- Hungary has a slight role as a favorite, because it is a nation that invests a lot in its national team and clubs, and they also have a lot of good and quality players - pointed out Vujović.

- The main things are togetherness and the atmosphere within the team - Borozan believes.

- First of all, I would like to point out individually Nebojša Simić, who is a world-class goalkeeper and who will also have our help in defense. Ah, there it is Vuk Lazovic the main player who can help us all to be better, as well as Simic to be even better. If we put it all together properly, with a good attack, half counter and of course with Branko Vujović i Nemanja Grbović, I think we have a lot of trump cards to win.

Where the "lions" see their chance, Miloš Vujović explained.

- We watched the video analyses, we prepared well and I think the match will be difficult. However, I hope that if we equalize with them in the last ten minutes, I think we will push it to our very strong character and win in the end - believes the left winger of German Gumerzbach.

Montenegro's rivals in Munich will be Iceland and Serbia, Cologne and the next stage will be won by the two best selections, but right now it's in the minds of the boys Government of the School Hungary only.

- It is not gratifying to promise the people that we will win, but I believe in my teammates, we know how important this game and this championship is to us. We want to enter the match with that energy - Vujović is clear.

Montenegro arrived in Germany with the best they currently have, so it is not surprising that in our country they are again dreaming of a similar result as two years ago when the "lions" were 11th on the continent.

- Even before the European Championship, everything didn't work perfectly, there was a corona, we were missing a lot of players, but then we were decorated with unity, we all breathed as one... - recalled Vujović.

- It is ungrateful to make a forecast now, but I believe that we have gained a lot by the return of Grbović. There is also Borozan, with whom we will gain a lot in defense. I hope that we will show that we are worth it and that we deserve to be here - concluded Vujović.
