Montenegrin handball players made many mistakes in the duel with Hungary.
They had everything in their hands, if they had only used half of the chances they missed, they would have triumphed routinely, and they missed the last chance 15 seconds before the end, when Branko Vujović missed a shot for a draw.
"We beat ourselves, we made a lot of stupid, hasty mistakes, and that doesn't go well against a team like this. Before the match, we wanted to equalize in the last 10 minutes, because we are aware that the Hungarians know how to give up, but we made too many mistakes. I also think that the referees damaged us in all important moments", said Miloš Vujović.
Pivot Bence Banhidi caused a lot of problems for the "lions" defense, but it was still possible to celebrate.
"We knew that Banhidi is one of the best pivots today, that he is difficult to guard and get around when he makes a block. Afterwards, the middle and left backs played, that caused us problems, but I repeat - we beat ourselves", Vujović explained.
