Montenegro no longer has a chance to qualify for the main stage, while Serbia does not depend only on itself... Nevertheless, the match of the last round of Group C at the European Handball Championship will bring a new big duel between these rivals - Tuesday at 18 p.m.
Our selection will chase a triumph in order to meet the playoffs for the World Cup from the first hat, and Serbia hopes that along with the triumph over the "lions" they will also receive help from Hungary and a victory over Iceland.
"We know that Hungary will want to take two points, but we have to do our part against Montenegro," said Serbian coach Toni Gerona.
Captain Nemanja Ilić had a similar message.
"We have to get out of this, do what we can and improve the impression against Montenegro".
The last match between Montenegro and Serbia was played two years ago in Graz, also at the European Championship, when the "lions" won with 22:21 and registered their first victory in the Old Continent Championship.
