After two heartbreaking defeats, Vlado Šola finally scored a great victory on the bench of Montenegro.
With that, the "lions" have an easier way to the World Cup, because they will be in the 1st hat at the play-off draw.
"Congratulations to my 'lions', they put on a lion match. Again we had the stupidity with the wrong change, but it's such a desire on the bench that everyone wants to participate, so chaos happens and only someone runs in. It is difficult to control," said Shola.
He didn't stop.
"The boys played with heart and brain, to say the least. I thank them for everything they did, they deserved this and we will have a good barrage".
At the end of the match with Hungary, Šola forgot that he didn't have two pivots, which is why he asked Branko Vujović to decide what to play in the attack for a draw. Because of this, he was the target of criticism, but he doesn't mind.
"I accept all criticism on myself, the players did not deserve it. We showed that we can play against everyone. We were helped by the return of Borozan and the return of Grbović after his injury, and there were also youngsters Čepić, Dragašević and Luka Radović. I also want to thank everyone else for participating, and the guys who unfortunately had to drop out. For the future of Montenegrin handball, we are counting on everyone, we must gather them and create a cult of the national team".
Scholi's contract has expired, but it seems that he "fought" for an extension of the cooperation.
"Simić and Matović are an excellent goalkeeper tandem, Simić is world-renowned. Vuk Lazović is doing a great job in defense, Borozan is back with great experience. And as for the question of the extension of cooperation, it is for Mr. Petar Kapisoda. As he brought me, he can leave me and dismiss me. I am honored to have led the team, which had to be played and chemistry created. Borozan was gone for a long time, everything had to be set up so that it wouldn't be a scene, we had to agree that we would have togetherness. It's not a new lineup, as much as the roles were new," concluded Šola, with one note:
