If they want to spend another January in the company of the world's best selections, Montenegrin handball players will have to erase a bad game and minus six from Konversan from 17.30:XNUMX against Italy in "Morača".
That the desire of the "lions" is huge is once again Miloš Vujović, who during the first match of the play-off to go to the World Cup got an injury for which he will have to undergo an operation, but only after the rematch with the "Azures".
"I had an MRI, the doctor said that the shoulder is damaged and I will have to have an operation. But I don't want to think about it, there is a game in front of our fans and I will play it as if nothing happened. We have to win seven differences, the Italians still owe us, and the debts are to be returned," said Vujović.
In the announcement of the barrage, coach Vlado Šola emphasized that he has no doubt that his boys will be 100 percent motivated against outsiders. However, the match in Konversan brought a different story...
"We players are to blame for everything because we constantly repeat mistakes when we play against weaker players - we always approach matches with the mindset of 'we will do it easily'. We now have an important match ahead of us from which we must come out as winners," emphasized Vujović.
The Gumerzbah handball player recalled that it was similar in the previous round for the World Cup.
"Yes, and then Greece showed us that we can't do anything with such an approach and they beat us by three points. We already celebrated with plus 10 in the second leg in Podgorica and showed that we are a better team, so I hope that this time too to be like that," says Vujović.
However, the minus from Konversano is bigger than it was from Athens.
"That's right, we're losing by six points, and we're under a lot of pressure, which means we'll have to approach the match much more seriously."
The wing of the "lions" believes that it will be difficult to reverse such a difference.
"It is both difficult and demanding, but also challenging to beat Italy by seven points in front of our fans. However, we are not running away from the goal, we know that we are the favorites and that we have to justify that role - we all want to win and to continue the continuity of games with big competitions." concluded Vujović.
Entrance to tonight's match will be free, and Vlada Šola's boys will have an additional motive, since the last game in the red jersey will be played by one of the symbols of the national team, Nemanja Grbović.
"Morača" has managed to "swallow" the giants many times before - can it now "carry" the lions to a big turnaround against outsiders, to another big competition, the tenth since the restoration of independence.
