The women's handball team of Montenegro achieved a routine victory at the opening of the World Championship for players up to 20 years of age in North Macedonia.
The generation, led by coach Igor Marković, defeated the Uzbekistan team in Skopje 48:32.
In the middle of the first half, the Montenegrin national team gained a significant advantage, and the question of the winner was already resolved after the first half (23:11).
As many as 13 players were among the scorers, and Anđela Milošević was the most effective with nine goals, while Jelena Vukčević and Nikolina Marković scored seven each.
Goalkeeper Marija Marsenić, who made 16 saves, was declared the player of the match.
Montenegro will play its next match on Friday (11.15:XNUMX a.m.) against Guinea, and a day later the most important match in the group stage is scheduled against Portugal.
