ŽRK Budućnost: The Capital City's decision represents life-saving support

The capital city's decision to take over the founding rights of ŽRK Budućnost represents life-saving support for the most trophy-winning Montenegrin club that was about to be shut down due to a difficult financial situation, Budućnost announced yesterday.

At yesterday's session, the Assembly of the Capital City adopted the said decision by the votes of almost all present councilors (34 for, one against, one abstention), which creates the conditions for Buducnost to continue functioning, "as the first team that will play in the EHF Champions League, as well as junior categories in which there are more than 300 girls who dream of writing new pages in the history of the two-time European champion."

The club pointed out that it owes special thanks to the mayor Olivera Injac, the president of the Capital City Assembly Jelena Borovinić Bojović, and especially acknowledges and publicly points out the dedication of the proponent of this initiative, Luka Rakčević, the deputy mayor, "who from the first meeting showed exceptional optimism and believed that to create conditions for Bubućnosti's survival and participation in the new season of the EHF Champions League."

Buducnost also thanked all the councilors who, during the session, "with arguments and facts from the club's glorious history, recognized the importance of the initiative to save the club and contributed to its adoption."

"Thank you to the "Barbarians" who gave their public support to the survival of the club in the success of the Buducnosti football team! We believe in their support in the new season of the Champions League. Thank you also to all the legends, former players and friends of the club who took an interest in the destiny of the Future and thus once again confirmed that the color blue is in their hearts! 75 years of glorious history, 75 trophies in the club's showcases, of which six are European , we are looking to the future, with the desire to continue to be the best sports brand of Montenegro on the international stage," announced Budućnost.
