The men's handball team of Montenegro started their performance at the European Championship for players under 18 in Podgorica with a defeat.
Montenegrin handball players were defeated tonight in the Bemax Arena by Italy 32:30.
Italy was in the lead for most of the match, while Montenegro had the best period of the game at the end of the first half when it had a two-goal advantage (14:12) in the 26th minute.
Italy turned it around by the end of the first half (16:15), and the winner could be guessed in the 44th when the deficit amounted to six goals (24:18).
In the Montenegrin selection, Petar Radoičić was the best with seven, Filip Božović scored five, while Vuk Lalošević and Dražen Peruničić finished the match with four goals each.
The Montenegrin national team will play against the Faroe Islands tomorrow at 17 p.m.
