Chosen women Bojana Popović played an excellent match against the champions of Hungary and a team that enters the new season with a stronger composition and four reinforcements - the French women Glozer and Kanor, and the Russian women Dmitrijeva and Maslova, so they deservedly caused a surprise and achieved a great victory, which instills confidence before continuation of preparations for the new season.
Although FTC was the favorite, the "blues" showed from the start that they can match the team, which, in addition to the Hungarian national team, also has players from France, the Netherlands, Serbia, Germany and Russia.
FTC led 18:15 at halftime, but our girls opened the second half with three tied goals and equalized (18:18) in the 32nd minute, after captain Ivona Pavićević scored.
The last 10 minutes were tied (28:28), after which Budućnost took the lead (31:29) in the 54th minute after goals from Klara Monti Danijelson and Jelena Radivojević.
All dilemmas about the winner were resolved a minute and a half before the end, when Radivojević scored in 34:30.
Popović gave all players a chance, goalkeeper Sakura Hauge and pivot Danijelson made their debuts, who arrived as reinforcements, and the impression after the first 60 minutes of the new season is more than positive!
Radivojević was the most effective with eight goals, Pavićević scored seven, and Danijelson and Mari Plamenova Tomova four each.
