The goal of the Budućnosti handball players is to take advantage of their rivals' mistakes in the duel with Ludwigsburg and achieve a good result, coach Bojana Popović said.
The Montenegrin and German teams will play the match of the fifth round of the Champions League tomorrow in the "Morača" hall.
In the break between the two seasons, the German representative changed his name, instead of Bittingheim, under which he played in the Champions League final, to Ludwigsburg.
Popović reminded that Budućnost pulled off the game against Đero well and now wants to stay at that level.
"They didn't change the back line. It can be seen that they are still being sought after. That is perhaps one of the advantages on our side, to disrupt their game, as against Đero, to put them in a situation where they think about us, to be in some situations lost on the field," said Popović at the press conference.
She emphasized that after only one match, the Budućnosti handball players cannot think that they have become monsters in seven days.
"We have to work further and repeat good games. A lot still needs to be fixed, there were a lot of technical mistakes. But we don't talk about that after games like this when a point is taken. There were 17 mistakes. Which is seriously bad for a game on such a level," said Popović.
Budućnost and Ludwisburg played six matches - both teams recorded three victories each.
In the previous season, the German team won both times, 27:22 in Morača and 34:16 in front of their fans.
Popović believes that Budućnost can look for their chance if they stop the rapid transition of their rivals. "What they are known for is that they run abnormally. They force running at the cost of more mistakes. When that gets in the way, they get into trouble, since there are no goals. That's our goal. We felt that against Djer too. They have over 20 transitions in a game, which is quite a lot for the Champions League. They have young players who are eager to prove themselves and plenty of shooters," said Popović.
Buducnost started the season with three defeats, in duels with Bucharest, Brest and Odense, and in the last round they drew with Djerba.
Ludvigsburg registered a win and three losses.
The duel in the Morača hall will start at 16 p.m., and the entrance to the hall is free.
