The selector of the men's handball national team of Montenegro, Didije Dinar, announced the list of players for the qualifications for the European Championship.
Montenegro begins the qualification for the 2026 European Championship with a duel against Finland on November 6 in the "Bemax Arena" in Podgorica, and a visit to Slovakia in Košice four days later. The opponent in qualifying group 2 is Hungary.
There are 18 handball players on the list, among whom there are no debutants, but players who have carried the burden of previous qualifications and major competitions.
"Due to an injury, the right back Stefan Čavor dropped out, and for the same reason, the pivot Nebojsa Simović, who was supposed to return to the national team, will not be there in the upcoming EHF week. The selector Dinar is also counting on the middle back Miloš Božović, who will miss this gathering due to private reasons. And pivot Vuk Lazović will be available to the coaching staff only for the first match in the qualifiers against Finland," the Association announced.
The gathering of the national team is on Monday in Podgorica.
The list includes - goalkeepers: Nebojsa Simić and Nikola Matović;
wings: Miloš Vujović, Aleksandar Bakić, Mirko Radović and Luka Radović;
pivots: Vuk Lazović, Luka Vujović, Miodrag Ćorsović and Mihailo Šćekić;
backs: Vuko Borozan, Arsenije Dragašević, Milorad Bakić, Radojica Čepić, Stevan Vujović, Vasilije Kaluđerović, Branko Vujović and Risto Vujacić;
reserves: Haris Suljević, Filip Vujović and Vojislav Vukić.
