The head coach of the men's handball team of Montenegro, Didije Dinar, arrived in Podgorica this evening, and he was met at the airport by the director of the national team, Vasko Ševaljević.
On October 12, Dinar was appointed coach of the Lions, and the official presentation is scheduled for tomorrow in Podgorica.
Handball players will gather tomorrow and begin preparations for the start of the qualification for the 2026 European Championship. The "lions" will play their first match on November XNUMX against Finland in the "Bemax Arena", and four days later against Slovakia in Košice. Hungary is also in the group.
A few days ago, Dinar announced the list of players for the upcoming matches.
Due to an injury, right back Stefan Čavor dropped out, and for the same reason, the pivot Nebojsa Simović, who was supposed to return to the national team, will not be there in the upcoming EHF week.
Selector Dinar is also counting on center back Miloš Božović, who will miss this gathering due to personal reasons.
Due to personal reasons, pivot Vuk Lazović will be available to the coaching staff only for the first match in the qualifiers against Finland.
