"Two big games await us, although for us each game is more or less as big as a team that doesn't have a game in the regional league or similar... Every game is a new test and a chance for additional training, which we really need," said Nina Bulatović, the right wing of the "blues".
After Đer, Brest and Ludwigsburg, it's time for another strong rival in the hellish Group B.
"It is unnecessary to say what kind of team it is, because it is a team constructed to win the Champions League. First of all, we will have to be focused on our game and how we can do everything in the best way in order to provide them with quality resistance," added Nina.
Nađa Kadović, the left winger of Budućnost, also spoke about the quality of the next rival.
"It is clear to us what kind of team they are, what kind of leader they have, and their game is mixed - there are shots, feints, and there are players whose physical strength prevails. We will try to see their virtues and find their flaws and create a balance," he believes. Nadia.
When she mentioned the leader, she was referring to Heni Rejstad, the girl who, with 62 goals, is convincingly the top scorer in the Champions League.
"Of course, she's not the only threat, but she's a real leader and scores a dozen goals in every game... She has to be the biggest focus, but I think anyone can get upset if we dedicate ourselves enough," Nadja added.
One of Esbjerg's strengths is speed.
"Even before the match against Odense, I said that every time a Danish team is mentioned, the first thing we think of is running, so we are ready and we expect that," emphasized Nađa Kadović.
Her colleague from the other side of the field once again turned to the old problem of Buducnosti - the lack of matches.
"Continuity is something that every athlete needs, and it's really a big minus that we don't have games to play through the championship, like every other team. We try to make up for all that with the training process," says Nina Bulatović.
Another problem is the breadth of the composition.
"I think rotation is our biggest problem, because in today's handball it is difficult to maintain continuity for all 60 minutes," concluded Nina.
Through the previous six rounds, Buducnost won a point against the European champions Djerba and recorded five defeats, while Esbjerg has a score of 4-2, after triumphs over Odense, Rapid, Vipers and Ludwigsburg, and failures in duels with Djerba and Brest.
