Montenegro is at the door of the EHF Euro, and Radojica Čepić once again showed that he has grown into one of the leaders of our national handball team.
The "lions" guard scored victories against Finland (seven goals from seven shots) and Slovakia (nine goals) at the start of the European Championship qualifiers.
"We played a good match - there are still a lot of things that we need to fix, but all in all it is important that we did this first round properly," said Čepić.
The return to the big stage is close.
"A really great first step, but we have to continue like this because the work is not finished yet," added handball player Krins Lucerna.
A great match on the right wing was also played by Luka Radović, who shook the Slovakian's net five times.
"I'm proud of these guys, we left our heart and took a big step towards achieving our goal - qualifying for the European Championship," said Radović.
He also recalled the painful elimination half a year ago against Italy in the play-off for the World Cup.
"The most important thing is that after the debacle we showed that we can be real".
Montenegro controlled things in Košice.
"We led from the beginning, there were no oscillations or big mistakes - everything was in our favor".
Two derbies with Hungary follow in March.
"There is time until then - now we can celebrate these four points, and we will think about Hungary later," Radović concluded.
