Serious injuries are a thing of the past - Đurđina Jauković came back even stronger, after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament of her left knee twice in two years.
After two years, the great Montenegrin handball player played for the "lionesses" and showed her class - in attack, where she "torpedoed" Serbia with 11 goals at the start of the EHF Euro (24:18), but also in defense, where, as always, she was impenetrable.
"It's really a very difficult period behind me, but I have these girls, the professional staff and all the people who helped me and believed in me... And I want to say that all this is a reward for them as well," said Đina from Debrecen.
He says about the match with Serbia...
"The beginning was quite difficult, a mix of emotions and everything else... I think that, above all, we played top-notch defense, and what would have passed was the defense of Armel Atingre," Đurđina added.
Already on Sunday, the "lionesses" are expecting another match in Debrecen - the port of Romania, which was better than the Czech Republic today (29:28).
"We have a little time to celebrate, but the preparation for Romania starts tomorrow... We have a tough match waiting for us and we want to stay firmly on the ground, the tournament is long, there will be a lot of games," concluded Đurđina Jauković.
