After a successful start in the qualifications for EHF Euro 2026 and victories against Finland and Slovakia in November, the national handball teams of Montenegro will be together again in January.
Montenegro will not participate in the World Cup, but will use the January term for two control matches against Greece, which will be played on January 10 and 11 in Thessaloniki.
These will be excellent tests before the continuation of the qualification for EHF Euro 2026 and the double match against Hungary in March, which will be decisive for the first place in the group.
Coach Didije Dinar, for the second campaign since he was appointed coach of our national team, is counting on a combined team in which there will be no playmakers and players who carried the load at the beginning of the qualifications, but also in the past years.
The opportunity will be given to players who have had less minutes so far, as well as two debutants - pivot Darko Pejović and wing Darko Đurković.
There are 16 players on the Dinara selectors' list, while Luka Radović and Stevan Vujović will be available to the coaching staff if necessary.
The professional staff of the Dinar selectors includes Lazar Simić, Mile Mijušković, Goran Music, Andrija Damjanović and Maja Baltić.
The list includes - goalkeepers: Nikola Matović and Haris Suljević;
wings: Aleksandar Bakić, Darko Đurković, Mirko Radović and Vojislav Vukić;
pivots: Miodrag Ćorsović, Luka Vujović, Mihailo Šćekić and Darko Pejović;
backs: Milorad Bakić, Arsenije Dragašević, Vasilije Kaluđerović, Stefan Čavor, Risto Vujacić and Luka Vukićević;
