The Handball Federation of Serbia (RSS) has appointed Norwegian coach Bent Dahl as the head coach of the women's national team.
The RSS management board made that decision unanimously, and Dal led Serbia until the end of the World Cup qualifiers, with the option to extend the cooperation.
"Bent Dal is a top expert and a coach with great experience, just what our women's national team needs to get back on track. We believe that he will be a good long-term solution, with the return of big names to our team, but we have signed the contract to the end qualification for the World Cup so that after the matches with Slovenia an analysis will be made on the basis of which a decision will be made on the potential extension of the contract," said RSS General Secretary Ivan Milivojević.
Dal was previously the coach of the women's national team of the Czech Republic, and earlier he also managed Hungarian Siofok, Romanian Valčea, Skrim, Halvard, Opsal and Dramen.
