When the chance to advance to the round of 16 of the Champions League has presented itself, the Buducnost handball team does not want to miss it.
The match of all matches is in the last round, against Rapid in "Morača" on February 23rd, and the Podgorica team has two more challenges before that duel.
The next match is a home match against Odense (Saturday, 16 p.m.) and a triumph would bring Bojana Popović's team significantly closer to their ultimate goal, and before the clash with the Romanians, our champion also has an away match against Brest.
"We have a chance to qualify for the round of 16, we will try to use that. Odense has the best attack in the Champions League, so we have to tighten our defense. And in attack, we have to reduce the number of technical errors, which were many against Đero," said Jelena Radivojević.
Odenze won 31:29 in the first match of this season.
"We played a good match in Denmark, that defeat really hurt us," added Jelena.
Armel Atingre says that the Podgorica team has a big game ahead of them.
"Odenze is a good team, made up of Norwegian and Danish players. However, we are in good shape, we are ready for the match and a big fight for the field. We were close to beating them in the first match," says the Montenegrin national team player.
As announced a few days ago, Saturday's match also has a humanitarian character with the aim of helping with the treatment of the girl Mia Popović, a student at the "Dragiša Ivanović" Elementary School from Podgorica, who is seriously ill with a malignant pelvic bone tumor.
