Crnogorska komercijalna banka, a member of OTP Group, is the new general sponsor of the women's handball club Budućnost.

The statement states that the partnership was made official with the signing of a contract by the President of the Board of Directors of CKB, Tamaš Kamaraši, and the Mayor of the Capital City, Saša Mujović.

This, as announced, marked the beginning of cooperation between the leader of the banking sector and the most trophy-winning club in Montenegro.

"OTP Group and CKB will be key supporters of Buducnost in a season that is of particular importance to the club - the 30th in the EHF Champions League. In the coming season, our club will perform under a new name - Women's Handball Club OTP Group Buducnost, with the ambition to be a worthy representative of the Capital and Montenegro in the competition of the 16 best teams in Europe," the statement reads.

Mayor Saša Mujović said that sports and sports clubs are the best representatives and promoters of Podgorica, because they bring together young people, teach them true values, strengthen their spirit, will, and develop togetherness and respect for their opponents.

"Investing in sports and science is more than responsibility. It is a way of superiorly demonstrating responsibility and care for the state and society. Without respect for tradition and a bright past, it is difficult to build a promising future. Without due attention to the symbols of the city, it is difficult to make strides and create new values. ŽRK Budućnost is the pride of Podgorica," said Mujović.

"The cult of the Morača Sports Center is largely built on the success of that team, our heroines who have been the favorites of Podgorica's sports scene for years," said Mujović.

According to him, it is necessary to financially strengthen the club in order to continue its success, attract girls to practice handball, and be the base for the national team's successes.

"The capital has budgeted funds, but we welcome the help and support of credible partners. It is an honor to have OTP Bank as a general sponsor. A bank that has achieved great business results, which has successfully existed on the business scene of the capital and Montenegro for many years, is an exceptional choice, but also confirmation that there is trust in our country and the economic environment created by the current Government," said Mujović.

He emphasized that the act of signing the contract is an indicator of the new city administration's attitude towards the budget, that is, the money of the citizens of Podgorica.

"Instead of increasing budget expenditures, we have decided to actively engage in finding additional funds by inviting successful business entities to join us and become our partners. This is a strategy that we will not give up," said Mujović.

CKB Board of Directors President Tamas Kamarasi said that Budućnost has built an inspiring sports path - success confirmed by titles at all levels, from domestic fields to the largest European halls.

He said that it is a European story about champions.

"Resilience, team spirit and the pursuit of excellence - what Buducnost symbolizes, is equally close to OTP Group, which last year won the title of the best bank in Europe according to Standard & Poor's. That is why OTP Group's decision to put its name next to Buducnost was natural and logical. Leaders recognize leaders," said Kamaraši.

He emphasized that ŽRK Budućnost and OTP Group share the same values: belief in success, perseverance and the pursuit of excellence.

"The partnership with ŽRK Budućnost is not just a sponsorship for us, but a combination of values, strength and vision. ŽRK OTP Grupa Budućnost will be a symbol of success, trust and a common path towards new victories," said Kamaraši.

ŽRK Budućnost recently celebrated 76 years of existence, during which 77 cups were won, including six European trophies, making it one of the most recognizable brands in Montenegrin sports.

"The cooperation between ŽRK Budućnost and CKB represents a strong step towards further strengthening women's handball in Montenegro and achieving new sporting successes," it was announced after the signing of the contract.
