The German final of the EHF Champions League for handball! Defending champion Barcelona unfortunately lost in Cologne to Magdeburg 31:30, while in the first semi-final Berlin defeated Nantes - 34:24.
Barça led for the most part of the game and went into the final 73 seconds with a goal advantage.
However, Karlsbogard was shown a red card and then in the same attack Vane was sent off with a seven-meter shot, which was scored by Tim Hornke for 30:30.
Barcelona had an attack, without a goalkeeper but again with one less player in the field, and Richardson's shot was stopped by the Magdeburg goalkeeper.
The last attack was made by Hornke with one second left in the 60th minute.
Barça were unlucky as Dika Mem was injured with ten minutes remaining in the semi-final
The most efficient players in the winning team were Ingi Magnusson with 11, Tim Hornke with seven, Albin Lagergren with four, Felix Klar with three goals.
For Barcelona, Dika Mem scored eight goals, Timothy N'Gussen five, Melvin Richardson four, Dimen Makut and Aitor Bengoechea three goals each.
The final is tomorrow at 18 pm. In Cologne, Berlin and Magdeburg will fight for the European throne, and at 15 pm there will be a match for third place between Barcelona and Nantes.
