Fuhse Berlin made history this season, becoming German champions for the first time, but against the European charm of their Bundesliga rivals, they had no chance in the Champions League final.
Magdeburg is once again the European champion - the "traum-final", or dream final as the Germans called it, was capped off by a 32:26 (16:12) victory in Cologne.
The European giant thus conquered the Old Continent for the fifth time in history and once again showed that it has a special connection with the Champions League, as it has only been German champion three times.
It was also sweet revenge for Bennett Wigert's men, as Fuhse took the Bundesliga title from them by a point, and they were winless against the new German champions in three matches this season.
However, Europe is something else, so Magdeburg, after 1978, 1981, 2002, in 2023, will once again look down on the rest of the continent from the top.
Fuhse has been a goal-scoring machine this season, but in the first half Magdeburg stopped him at just 12 goals.
The "Green-Reds" flew during the first 30 minutes on the wings of the phenomenal Icelanders Gisli Kristjansson and Omar Ingi Magnusson and in the end they reached a plus four which they kept until the break.
Magdeburg didn't let up in the second half either, Kristjason continued to "bomb", Felix Klar also got into the act, and when the team from Berlin threatened, there was the phenomenal goalkeeper Sergej Hernandez.
Magdeburg mostly maintained a five-goal lead, reaching the maximum and final plus six (32:26) in the final minutes, so it was clear the whole time that Fuhse had no chance of turning the game around.
Kristjansson finished the match with eight goals, Klar and Magnusson with six each, and Hernandez made 18 saves.
Kod Fuhsea, Matijas Gidsel and Hakun Vest Av Teigum posted his head.
