Another girl who made an exceptional contribution to the numerous successes of the "Lionesses" has made the decision to end her career.
Marta Batinović informed the President of the Handball Federation of Montenegro, Petar Kapisod, that she had made the decision to end her playing career, both as a team and as a national team player, for whom she had performed with great success since September 2019, when she made her debut in the qualifying match against Italy for the EHF Euro 2020, while the World Championship in Japan in December of the same year was the first major competition in which she defended the goal of our team.
In the previous six years, the goalkeeper, born on April 20, 1990 in Metković, wore the jersey of Montenegro at the European and world championships, and her greatest success was in 2022 when she was a member of the "lionesses" who won the bronze medal at the EHF Euro, which was hosted by Slovenia and North Macedonia in addition to our country.
Her last appearance in a jersey with the national emblem was in April in the play-off against Portugal, in which Montenegro qualified for the World Cup with two wins.
