The handball players from Lovćen defeated the Greek team Bianco Monte Drama 1986 tonight in Cetinje, with a score of 32:27 (18:14), in the first game of the second round of the EHF European Cup.
The Montenegrin champion was in the lead throughout the match, which reached seven goals in the 45th minute (27:20).
The hero of the triumph was Đorđo Peruničić with 11, while Vladimir Stanković added five goals.
The Greek team's top scorers were Christos Shaitidis with seven goals and Adam Papadopoulos with six. The return match is scheduled for October 18th.
Budva Riviera will begin its season on the European stage next Friday with a duel with Diomidis from Argos.
By agreement between the clubs, both matches will be played in Cetinje, on October 17th and 19th, due to the busy stadium in Budva.
