The future sees a chance in Dortmund, Abramović: I am satisfied with how we used the international break

It has been exactly 20 days since the last European handball match of OTP Group Buducnost and the heaviest defeat in history - against Metz in France when it was 38:18 for the favorites.

The Podgorica team is still waiting for its first point, with a score of 0-4, and in the 5th round of the EHF Champions League they will face a team that, at least on paper, looks like a rival that the "blues" can match.

Buducnost plays host to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday (16 p.m.).

"Borussia Dortmund, along with Storhamar and Debrecen, is one of our competitors for that 6th place that leads to the next round. That's where we see our chance. I would like to look back at the two previous games, with Đero and Metz, which I used to get to know the team better. It is obvious that we have problems in attack, there were a lot of technical errors and missed shots in those two matches. Then we were bad at coming back in defense, which was punished by such high-quality rivals," said coach Zoran Abramović.

The Champions League was not played for three weeks due to national team commitments and European Championship qualifications.

"I am satisfied with how the girls worked during the break, even though we had nine Montenegrin national team players. We especially tried to correct that transition when we return to defense. I did not count on Nina Bulatović and Tanja Ivanović due to injuries and illness. Bulatović did not train for two weeks, and the biggest handicap is the absence of Ivanović, who will be absent until the end of the year. She plays in both directions, she is especially important in defense. We need to find a solution for that," Abramović emphasized.

He can play against Borussia.

"We analyzed the Germans, Abing, their best player, is back. Borussia played 40 minutes on a par with Đero, which speaks volumes about their quality. They play with a lot of transition, they have two excellent players in each position, so we will try to limit our rivals to as few easy goals as possible," concluded Abramović.
