Polish national team member Dagmara Nocunj is no longer a member of OTP Group Budućnost, the Podgorica handball club announced.
It is stated that Budućnost and Nocunj have mutually terminated their cooperation.
It was announced that the Polish handball player, who plays on the left wing, has approached the club with a request to terminate her contract for personal reasons.
"The club showed understanding for her decision and met that request. Nocunj scored six goals in the EHF Champions League this season, and she played for the Polish national team at the recently concluded World Cup, hosted by Germany and the Netherlands," the statement said.
The Podgorica club thanked Nocunj for her professional attitude, dedication and contribution during her stay at Buducnost, as well as for the fair cooperation in every segment.
"We wish her much happiness, health and success in the continuation of her career and private life. The blue jersey is not forgotten - Dagmara will forever remain a part of our blue family," the Podgorica club said in a statement.
Nocunj strengthened Buducnost ahead of the start of this season.
