On the wings of a great victory in Romania over Gloria, the OTP Group Buducnost women's handball team welcomes the German Borussia Dortmund with a dose of optimism in the 10th round of Group A of the EHF Champions League. The match with the Germans will be played tomorrow at 16 pm at the "Mtel Morača Hall".
"An extremely high-quality rival is coming to Podgorica, a team full of national team players and with a pronounced Scandinavian style of play. Our focus will be on stopping their transition, because we believe that this can lead us to a positive result," believes the "blues" coach Zoran Abramović and adds:
"The most important thing is to thwart that great collaboration between their center back and pivot, because they scored 12 goals from the line against Esbjerg. We also hope for increasing support from the audience, because these players have earned it with great performances in the last two games. If they play so well again, I have no doubt that the stands in "Morača" will be even more full," Abramović concluded.
In Bistrica, one of the heroes of the sensational victory was Ivana Godeč, brilliant in defense and almost flawless in attack.
"We entered the New Year in the right way and showed that we can play against anyone. After analyzing the duel in Dortmund, I am convinced that we will be better and more prepared for victory in Podgorica," says our pivot Godeč.
In the first head-to-head match of the season at the "Westfalenhalle" the home team was more successful - 30:24, although the "blues" were tied at half-time - 13:13. Dortmund has four points, while Buducnost has one point less.
"The results against Esbjerg and Gloria showed that we can do it when we believe in ourselves. We enter the duel against Borussia with the same approach and believe in a positive outcome," says center back Nina Ramusović, who was flawless from the penalty spot in Bistrica.
She returned to Romania after a year of absence due to injury.
