OP Group Buducnost was defeated at the "Mtel Morača Hall" by Borussia in the 10th round of Group A, EHF Women's Handball Champions League - 22:25.
With this defeat, the "blues"' chances of reaching the round of 16 have been reduced to a minimum.
"In the last two games we scored 72 goals, and today only 22. We tried to play fast, but we missed a lot of goals. We lacked goals from the left wing and the pivot position. I announced that there would be ups and downs in our game during the season because we are a young team. I have nothing to complain about the girls, Borussia did not surprise us, we stopped their transition and cooperation of the defenders with the pivot, but we conceded some goals from attacks that were passive," said Buducnost coach Zoran Abramović.
The defeat also hit captain Itana Grbić hard.
"First of all, thanks to the fans who came and supported us in large numbers. Unfortunately, their support was not enough for us either. We felt tired in our game and that was the impression from the very beginning of the match. We missed a lot of shots, we had a lot of suspensions, we got a red card for three suspensions for Kadović. At the end of the match, we managed to equalize, but not to turn the tables," Grbić pointed out.
Buducnost will host Metz on Sunday, February 25th at 16 p.m.
