The Montenegrin national handball team will face Finland in the first match of the 2nd round of World Cup qualifiers tomorrow (17:30) in Vantaa. The return match is on Sunday (18) in Podgorica, and the winner of this match will play Slovenia in the play-off for the World Handball Championship in May.
And unlike the European Championship, against the Scandinavian team, coach Didije Dinar can count on, among other things, Aleksandar Bakić, who, along with goalkeepers Nebojša Simić and Nikola Matović, has returned to the national team.
"For health reasons, I canceled my participation in the European Championship. It was all hard for me - both the result and watching the team on the small screen, and I couldn't help them. Now I'm back - the feeling is phenomenal, like every time I come to the national team," said Bakić.

Two important matches with the Finns are coming up.
"We shouldn't shy away from the role of favorites. We need to take a look at them a little, because we don't know what kind of squad they have. We have rejuvenated the team a lot, some new guys are available to the coach. Honestly, I expect to win both matches. We will prepare well, although we have little time for that," emphasized the left winger of our national team.
The "Lions" are focused on the matches with Finland, Slovenia is now far away.
"Right now we're only thinking about Finland. To justify our role as favorites and play against Slovenia in May," concluded Bakić.
