Zorman returns experienced trio to "Lions": Montenegro will be a tough challenge

Montenegro for the third appearance at the World Cup, Slovenia for the 11th. May will be the month of decision, and the "lions" and "dragons" will decide in 120 minutes who will travel to the World Cup, which will be organized by Germany in January next year.

The first play-off match will be played on May 14th in "Morača", and the return match will be three days later in "Arena Bonifika" in Koper.

Montenegrin coach Didije Dinar will soon announce the list of players he is counting on for the most important matches of the year, and his colleague Uroš Zorman has already revealed the cards.

For the clash with Montenegro, the former Slovenian centre-back has decided to bring back an experienced trio to the squad. The Dragons will be stronger with 34-year-old playmaker Miha Zarabec, 33-year-old right-back Nejc Cehte and a year younger defensive specialist Blaž Blagotinšek.

The list also includes goalkeeper from Cetinje Miljan Vujović, but there is no other former member of our youth teams, Mirko Latković, whom Zorman called in March during the EHF week.

- Both matches with Montenegro will require full concentration. The opponent is very familiar to us, we have faced them several times recently. We have a difficult task ahead of us, which will be somewhat easier due to the return match in front of our fans - said Zorman, as reported by RTV Slovenia.

The Slovenian coach also explained why the next World Cup is even more important.

- We have an extremely important May ahead of us. The World Championships in January will be very important, because the first tickets for the Olympic qualifiers will be distributed there, and the champion will already have a secured place in Los Angeles - added Zorman.

Montenegro and Slovenia were rivals at the recent European Championship, and in an unforgettable match with 81 goals scored, Zorman's team won (41:40).
