Slovenia came away with a good result ahead of the rematch in their home city of Koper - leaving Podgorica with a minimal victory.
But it seems not too happy after winning 29:28 against the Montenegrin handball team in the first match of the World Championship playoff.
"I'm satisfied with the victory, but not with the game," said Slovenian coach Uroš Zorman at a press conference.
The once great center back even pointed out in the match announcement how difficult it is to play against our national team in "Morača".
"We know what 'Morača' means, what Montenegro means and how difficult it is for everyone in the world here," Zorman pointed out.
Montenegro managed to turn the score around at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half, going from a 16:9 deficit to a 19:18 lead.
"We finished the first half and started the second with a 3-0 run to our rivals - a team of our quality cannot allow itself to do that. In the second half, we were in a convulsion because of the atmosphere, and in the end, instead of winning by three points, we made a stupid mistake and conceded a goal for minus one. I congratulate the host on a great atmosphere, a manly and fair game. We have another 60 difficult minutes ahead of us," concluded Zorman.
Aleks Vlah led Slovenia, scoring seven goals, some when the match was breaking down.
"We are happy with the victory, but it feels different somehow after everything the match went on after the plus seven. We made a lot of mistakes, in the second half it was goal for goal, but in the end we have to be happy because we won. However, we are not satisfied with the game," said Vlah.
