OTP Group Budućnost women's handball club is one of 10 clubs that have secured a place in the EHF Champions League for the 2026/27 season, after the European Handball Federation (EHF) announced the list of registered participants for the strongest European club competition.
Our club will continue to represent the Capital and Montenegro among the European elite next season, and Podravka, Esbjerg, Brest, Metz, HSG Blomberg, Đer, Storhamar, Glorija Bistrica and Krim Mercator have also secured direct qualification to the group stage.
A total of 17 clubs have registered, and Odense, Nykobing, Borussia Dortmund, FTC, Sola, Molde and CSM Bucharest will compete for the remaining six places leading to the group stage.
It is particularly interesting that France is the only country with two direct places in the EHF Champions League. Brest is the French champion, while Metz, who recently won the European title, secured second place thanks to the results of French clubs on the European stage.
The competition system remains unchanged and the group stage of the EHF Champions League will consist of two groups of eight teams each.
