The Montenegrin junior handball team was defeated in the second match at the European B Division Championship in Pristina.
After an opening win against Georgia, coach Suad Skenderović's team lost to Italy 32:24.
The opponent led from the start of the match, our team tied the score at 4:4, but after the first 30 minutes the deficit was six goals - 16:10.
Italy continued to maintain a secure lead and achieved its first victory at the championship in Pristina.
Aleksa Knežević, Filip Božović and Petar Radoičić were the most efficient with four goals each.
Montenegro will play against the Netherlands on Wednesday.
The competition is played according to the league system, meaning each team will play one match against all rivals in the group.
After five rounds, on Sunday, the matches for the final standings are scheduled - the final, the match for third place and the duel for fifth place.
