Dragan Adžić is creating a real Montenegrin colony in Rapid Bucharest.
Our trophy expert took over the Romanian club's bench at the beginning of June, and one of his first signings was Tanja Ivanović from Buducnost.
Today, Rapid officially confirmed the arrival of three talented Montenegrin players. They are Martina Knežević, who was previously announced to be heading to Bucharest, as well as Natalija Lekić and Mia Vuksanović.
Knežević is also a former player for Buducnost and won the bronze medal and MVP award at last year's European Cadet Championship. Last season, she also got a chance in the Women's Handball Champions League.
Lekić won the MVP award at the European Junior Championships last year, while this year she led the young "lionesses" to fifth place at the World Championships. Natalija also made her debut for the A team.
For the previous two seasons, she played for Naisa Nis, with whom she was the vice-champion of Serbia last season.
On the other hand, Vuksanović played for Buducnost in the younger categories, and was also a member of the cadet team that won the European bronze medal.
She is considered one of the most talented goalkeepers in Montenegrin women's handball. Last season, she played for the youth team Buducnost, which competed in the First League of Montenegro. She recorded 177 saves in 20 games - only Danica Pandurević from Tivat had more successful interventions than her (240 in 21 games).
Also, Mela Mehmedović has been a member of Rapid since before.
