Gina in blue again: The future is not a club, but a home

Six years have flown by, Đurđina Jauković is back at the place where it all practically began - the captain of the Montenegrin handball team has once again donned the blue and white jersey, she will once again defend the colors of Buducnost.

The girl who will be a huge reinforcement in defense and attack arrived from ĆSM Bucharest, with whom she played in the final four, and after the first training sessions, she did not hide her pleasure at returning.

- This is a special day. The future for me is not just the club, but the home where I took my first European steps - Gina said for the club's website.

In previous seasons, in addition to the Romanian giants, she also played for Brest, one of the strongest clubs in Europe, played in the Champions League final, and was stronger than serious injuries...

- I left Buducnost six years ago as a girl who wanted to make her dreams come true and prove herself in Europe. A lot has happened and I've been through a lot during those six years, winning trophies, playing on the biggest stage, but also going through difficult moments that only made me stronger - Jauković emphasized.

The return to Buducnost came after several difficult seasons for the Podgorica giants.

- I am happy that I have the opportunity to be a part of Buducnost again and that a healthy story is being created. We are eagerly awaiting the start of the season, and I will do my best to pass on the experience to the younger girls. I can promise that I will give my maximum in every training session and match - emphasized Đina.

Captain Itana: Ambitions are bigger now

Buducnost will be part of the Champions League for the 31st time starting from September, and as captain, Itana Grbić will lead the team through new battles across Europe.

- I am honored to be the captain of a team like this and to share the locker room with all these girls - said Itana.

For the fourth time in the last five years, and for the third season in a row, the two-time European champion has finished the Champions League competition after the group stage. Is it time to take it a step further?

- The ambitions are higher than in previous seasons, we are aware that it will be difficult in the group stage of the Champions League, but it is a challenge we are looking forward to. I am sincerely looking forward to the start of the new season - added Itana.
