"We managed to come back and take the lead, but we didn't take advantage of some situations to turn the match around and create a difference. They hit the streak, which they did throughout the match. We knew it was a difficult opponent, that they play fast, shoot early, and we didn't respond to their style and aggression. We did our best, and all credit to them - they played excellently", said Vucevic.
The Orlando ace believes that the whole team was too nervous because of the referee's decisions, which, he points out, did not affect the outcome.
"We got into nervousness and arguments too soon. Nervousness was felt from the beginning. Four technicals - I don't think it should be like that at the WC. We are not a big team, which can perhaps have some referee protection. We came to fight and to do our best. We should have reacted differently to some decisions, both us and the bench. That cost us a few points. I don't think the referees are the main reason for the defeat, they played great. They scored when they should have, we didn't and that's it," said Vucevic.
