Austrian skier Nikol Schmidhofer is the winner of today's super giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
She reached her third victory this season and overall in her career (she won both downhill races in Lake Lewis) in a time of one minute, 19 seconds and 98 hundredths of a second.
Schmidhofer was 23 seconds faster than the Italian Sofia Godja, who competed today for the first time since her wrist injury in October.
The third-placed Swiss Lara Gut Behrami had a time 45 hundredths slower than the winner.
American Mikaela Shifrin, who triumphed in three super-Gs this season, missed the race in Garmisch.
Shifrin is the leader in the super giant slalom standings with 300 points, Weireiter is second with 268, and Schmidhofer is third with 253.
Šifrin also holds the leading position in the overall ranking of the World Cup with 1.494 points. Slovak Petra Vlhova is second with 898, and third is Swiss Wendy Holdener with 637 points.
Female skiers will go downhill tomorrow.
