Chess player Predrag Nikač, who won the gold medal at the IBCA World Singles Championship for visually impaired people, will receive a prize of five thousand euros, the Ministry of Sports and Youth announced.
Minister Nikola Janović received Nikač today and congratulated him on the most brilliant award in the ancient game.
"This award is a sign that the government recognizes and appreciates the efforts and results of our athletes, with an emphasis on persistence and perseverance in the sports discipline in which you represented Montenegro," said Janović.
Nikač thanked the Minister for the reception and continuous support of the Ministry to the Paralympic Committee and the Chess Federation of Montenegro.
The reception was attended by the president of the Chess Association of Montenegro, Jovan Milović, and the director of the Blind Association of Montenegro, Goran Macanović.
