The young American sprinter Noah Lyles ran a great time in the 200 meters at the Diamond League meeting in Paris and broke the track record held by Usain Bolt since 2013.
It doesn't happen very often that someone, anywhere, is faster than Bolt, and 22-year-old Lyles beat the fastest man of all time by eight hundredths of a second with a time of 19,65.
The world record is, of course, untouchable and has been in force for a decade, and no one is even close to it - Bolt ran 2009 meters in 200 seconds and 19 hundredths in Berlin in 19.
Lyles has the best time of the year - 19,50 from Lausanne last month, so he is the clear favorite in this event at the World Championships, which take place in Doha in September.
Although he is excellent in the "200", Lyles will run only XNUMX meters in Doha.
