Montenegrin table tennis players, winners of medals at the European Championship for people with disabilities in Helsingborg, Sweden, will receive a premium of 50 euros, announced the Minister of Sports and Youth, Nikola Janović.

Today, he hosted a reception for table tennis players Filip Radović, Dejan Bašanović and Luka Bakić, as well as for coach Nikolaj Lupulescu and the president of the Paralympic Committee, Igor Tomić.

The Montenegrin national team ended its performance at the championship with two medals.

Radović won the silver medal in the individual competition, and with Bašanović and Bakić the bronze medal in the team.

Janović said that the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Sports and Youth strongly support the development of sports for people with disabilities through financial allocations for the work of the Paralympic Committee, stating that they are many times higher than in the previous period.

"The results of our Paralympians oblige us to continue improving the conditions for their work in the coming period," said Janović.

He reminded that Montenegro has the highest premiums in the region and that they are paid directly to athletes.

"Thus, as a country, we show how much we value the results achieved by our national teams at prestigious international competitions, and today I am especially glad that the premiums were achieved by those who are synonymous with dedication, persistence and perseverance," said Janović.

Radović, Bašanović and Bakić and President Tomić thanked Janović for the great support and responsible attitude that the Ministry of Sports and Youth shows towards the Paralympians and their results.

They pointed out that a big incentive for further success is the care that the state continuously shows towards people with disabilities who play sports.
