The Boxing Association has not yet paid any scholarships to representatives of Montenegro this season. Scholarship recipients of the Boxing Association are Milovan Sekulović, Nenad Markovic, Petar Liješević, Viktor Mihailović, Stefan Savkovic, Edin Alkovic, Miloš Krasnići and the best young athlete of Montenegro, Bojana Gojković.
After unsuccessful attempts and the "game of deaf phones" in attempts to find out from the BSCG the reasons why they have not been paid their stipends for 10 months, the boxers did not receive an answer even from the Minister of Sports and Youth. Nikola Janović.
"We notified the relevant Ministry by e-mail about our problem, we did not receive a response from the minister, but we did from the secretary Tatjana Bulatović, who replied that they would check where the problem arose and that we would be notified. A week later, we still have no answers. We know that the Ministry of Sports allocated 16.800 euros to the Boxing Association for the payment of our scholarships, so each scholarship recipient should count on a monthly amount of over 130 euros. However, we have not been paid a single installment for 10 months", informed the public the boxing representatives.
Disagreements in the Boxing Association, avoided by the former, which is also the current leadership at the head of Blazo Šaranović, to schedule an Assembly at which the accumulated problems would be resolved, resulted in reports to the competent inspections, which unequivocally established illegalities. However, fair penalties were also missing, because the omissions were paid for from the budget intended for Montenegrin boxers.
"We don't want to get into conflicts, nor is it up to us, the contestants, to arbitrate. We are only interested in when we will get working conditions. The Minister of Sports announced to the public that he is paying 400 scholarships, and we boxers with whom the contracts were signed have not received any of the 10 payments. The BSCG sports sector promised to talk to the BSCG Administration, and the answer was that the Ministry of Sports did not pay the money. Then they informed us that it would be in ten days, and so on, and 10 months passed", point out the scholarship recipients who have not yet received it.
Only the most basic supplementation per competitor costs around 60 euros per month, which the Federation does not finance.
"Our executives never came to any competition. They prolonged the national championship in a way that doesn't suit anyone, and they didn't even take into account the fact that in the period they subsequently set, as many as five national team members had to withdraw due to injuries and with valid medical documentation. We don't have a league and we are slowly falling behind the environment, because we don't have matches and then we lose to boxers that we used to beat with ease in earlier years. If they are not interested in boxing, let them step down, because we do not want the fate of numerous previous talented generations, who were driven out of boxing by indolence or who went on to become professionals", concludes the address of the boxing representatives.
Let us remind you that they are due to the same problems Dejan Zlaticanin i Predrag Radosevic in the best competitive years, they had to become professionals, and it was the same with the brothers Nicholas i Danilo Milacic, Marko Radonjić, Almir Škrijelja...
