The women's team in the fights of junior seniors and the women's kata team in the same competition won gold medals on the last, third competition day of the Balkan Championship for cadets, juniors and junior seniors in Brežice.
Bronze medals went to cadets and junior seniors in the fights and cadet-junior kata teams in the men's and women's competition.
The women's wrestling team, consisting of Saša Bojović, Ksenija Rajović, Vasilisa Bujić and Jovana Strujić, defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2:1 in the final match. On the way to the final, he eliminated Romania 2:1 and Slovenia 2:1.
"We achieved great success. We were preparing for this competition and I can't say that we weren't hopeful. MZlta's Balkan medal will be a motivation to continue working, for even better results and medals from major competitions", said Vasilisa Bujić, a member of the championship team.
The women's kata team, consisting of Jovana Marić, Mia Roganović and Iva Popović, defeated Serbia 5:0 in the final. In the semifinals, he eliminated Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) 5:0.
"I am very satisfied with the result achieved. It was difficult, but we deservedly won the gold medal, which eluded us in previous years. We are a young team and I hope that there will be more medals not only from the Balkan, but also from European and world championships. Thank you to my friends from the national team, coach Jugoslav Bukilić and coaches Tijana Radulović and Neli Tatar", said team member Jovana Marić.
The men's cadet-junior team, in the match for third place, beat BIH 4:1, while the women's team won against BIH 5:0. The men's team consisted of Dušan Petrović, Vasilije Perović and Blažo Micevski, while the women's team consisted of Hana Šendelj, Džana Canović and Maša Đukanović.
The men's cadet team in combat, consisting of Andrija Danilović, Jovan Fatić, Lazar Jovović, Lazar Madžarović, Lazar Potpara, Emre Saljiu and Vladimir Vukčević, and the team of junior seniors Denis Huremović, Balša Miličković, Ilija Radonjić, Predrag Smolović and Nikola Vuletić, also won bronze.
The karate team of Montenegro ended its performance in Brežice with five gold, four silver and 18 bronze medals.
Gold medals were won by junior senior Bojan Bošković (up to 67) and cadet Emre Saljiu (up to 52) in wrestling and junior senior Mila Mraković in kata.
Junior Nemanja Jovović (+76) and cadets Bojan Vulović (up to 57) and Lazar Potpara (over 70) and the women's cadet team in fights won silver.
Bronze medals were won by cadets Vasilije Perović and Lazar Sekulić, junior Rijad Mandić and younger seniors Arijan Kočan and Mia Roganović in katas and wrestlers in the competition of cadets Anđela Ivanović (up to 47), Ognjen Bjelajac (up to 52), Jovan Fatić (up to 57), Lazar Jovović (up to 70) and Vladimir Vukčević (up to 70), juniors Andrija Fatić (up to 76) and Nemanja Mikulić (up to 61) and younger seniors Vasilisa Bujić (over 68) and Ksenija Rajović (over 68).
Judge Boris Zečević also had a successful performance, who passed for the Balkan judge.
In addition to Zečević, Miodrag Radunović, Veljko Brnović and Naim Durak refereed the matches at the championship.
